Wow. Thanks for the info. Can't wait. Joaquin road to Oscars is... :) Does this mean that their "romantic spottings", were actually research? Maybe Rooney is going to be a nurse in the film? I think it's highly probably that her role is the therapist or something like that. They're dating, believe me.

I hope we get more details on the shoot soon. I'm so confused with Rooney's schedule right now

Me too. Everything feels so disoriented right now - we don't know right dates for Vox Lux filming yet, Annette is under big question and it's clear that trailer and official poster for Song to Song won't be visible soon, despite premiere in a few weeks.
I just hope that eventually things will not turn out in the way in which she will have to choose between Vox Lux and Annette in the summer. Still prefer Vox Lux over Leos Carax project though.
If she really dropped out from Annette, well...let's hope for Carol scenario but chances for something similar happening again (dropping out at first, signed in later when she is ready) are highly unlikely in this case.

I think she will never drop out Vox Lux if she can choose cause Christine Vachon, cause the role needs specific preparation, cause is high profile project with her friend Sia

Jonah has lost weight again, I hope they won’t make him put on weight again for a future movie, I remember he gained so much weight for a role after loosing a lot, those changes are dangerous.

Why the casting is so into comedy actors? Comedic actors are usually great at drama, sometimes more than dramatic actors. And Gus Van Sant seems to have a thing for comedic actors in dramatic roles as Robin Williams had been attached to this for a long time till Joaquin came in. It's going to be interesting what Van Sant has in mind here. I'm curious about the tone of the film.

Yes, comedy actors have range, they say actors who do comedy, can do drama but for a drama actor is difficult to do comedy. Robin Williams was good in going to one point to the other, the only time I didn't like him when he was in One Hour Photo. Whoopi Goldberg can do it too. Reese Witherspoon surprise me in Walk the line. Jennifer Aniston after all those year watching her in Friends was a big surprise for me in Cake. I don’t find believable some comedy actors when they do drama. I remember this round table interview in which Kate Mara was on and explained how Flincher didn’t want his House of cards actors to move their eyebrows, he said that they were smiling with the eyebrows… I’ve seen many actors who do that, It is true! and as a result I don’t believe their interpretations, it is kind of confusing.

Oh. I know they can be good in drama. I didn't say it contemptuously just wondered why that decision and what tone the film will have

I completely agree with the comedian thing. They've usually got an incredible range that sometimes dramatic actors don't have. About the Fincher thing, can you give me an example of 'smiling with the eyebrows'. I don't entirely get what that means. Hearing it for the first time. Very curious to know.

Ok I'll give you 3 examples and I hope people don't kill me if they love those actors: 1- Kevin Spacey - He smiles with his eyebrows 2- Jim Carrey - He's whole face smiles in drama movies too 3- Brie Larson in Room, I was confused because she was supposed to be really sad This is the video Kate talks about it:
