Maybe she asked him to become vegan and he didn't want ;)
:lol2: Charlie become vegan for her years ago. He said it in an interview for The One I Love. Maybe now he's eating meat like crazy and tearing up watching La La Land :). Must be difficult for him, after so many years, seriously. But If you ask me I think they were really happy together until Rooney pulled out a Therese in her real life :) and runaway with Joaquin to Jerusalem and "Love is love". There's nothing wrong with that. PS: I just say that wishing her the best. I don't have intentions of judging her decisions in any aspect of her private life.
Didn't know that. Hey, I would also become vegan for her any time (it wouldn't be a big sacrifice anyway; as I told renoh on IMDb once, I almost fulfill all the requirements to be a member of the club  )
I kinda liked Charlie all these years, he seems like a nice enough dude; but some of his tweets weren't my cup of tea tbh, especially in the election year. I stopped following him (and many others) after DNC convention in July...it was too much for me (yeah, I'm Bernie supporter  Maybe Rooney is also ? Who knows).

I like Charlie and Hilary (I'm not American citizen tho). but sometimes his tweets are stupid or too arrogant in the context of the "Hollywood community of liberals". I think he enjoy too much this kind of activism in social media which it's not a true activism at the end of the day. And this could be a difference between Rooney and him. Rooney hates being a phony as you know and maybe she's a complex human being who wants more in life than live the American Dream with her perfect and rich boyfriend and four kids. He's a good guy tho and he and his family loved Rooney so much. There's a super cute video of Mary S saying that " I adore Rooney"... |

She's a very good actress by the way, done a lot of good movies, I think she pops up in The Discovery?
For me, Mary Steenburgen will always be Clara Clayton from Back to the Future 3. Nice childhood memories.

I don't have intentions of judging her decisions in any aspect of her private life. we don't know what really happened, who left, or was it a mutual consent sort of thing, but whatever it was i don't think there is any bad blood between them, i was impressed by them in Sundance, no drama and awkwardness, kudos to them for being mature and professional! it could've been a disaster, you know, some exes aren't able to be in the same room with each other after the break up :anger4: i hope they're both happy now |

loved your parallel with Carol, having her own Waterloo with Joaquin :lol2: I really hope Charlie is not sending her pics of him eating McDonalds. Of course everyone here wish her the best and I don't think she has done anything wrong. I do remember that you are almost vegan mortimer605 :) . I think he’s lucky, he got to direct her in one of his movies, I don’t think that would had happened if they weren’t couple, also traveling accompanying her in big festivals and events getting to know key people in the industry, so nice of her. Yes, that phony part didn’t fit with Rooney if you ask me, it seemed as if in mental age both are years apart, I find Rooney's mental age way older than she really is. Also he always was like reminding people about his dad, Rooney hates talking about what her family does, and what she had accomplished had been without taking advantage of it. I think he’ll be ok, probably he’s already with another actress. And maybe they are still friends ;) . |

I don't think Rooney was never fully happy with Charlie since they started dating. I remember her saying the stuff like how she was indecisive when it came to love in 2015. Also in earlier time in 2014 she also said she would consider to get married with him after they made a movie together. I think all these indicate she was indecisive with Charlie since long time ago. And I think she was not running away with Joaquin to Jerusalem .Charile knew it and they went there for work purpose. And all these Jerusalem photos show they were sure just friends. Of course I don't know for now. I am wishing her the best too though I am sad for Charlie . He seems to be a good guy with kind heart too. |

I don't think Rooney was never fully happy with Charlie since they started dating. I remember her saying the stuff like how she was indecisive when it came to love in 2015. yes, she's not PDA type, but she can be somewhat affectionate, there are photos of her with Charlie in early stages of their relationship kissing/hugging/holding hands in public, and it's cute af, imo. but i absolutely respect her choice of not speaking about her boyfriend and private life in interviews, i agree it's smart! i hope it doesn't change, i don't need to know too much  |
