They love Joaquin's movies also. But no place for The Tree of Life ? Lady Bird over it ?
Really don't get love for Lady Bird. I'd put A Ghost Story or Manchester by the Sea over it any time.
Indiewire put Saoirse on the list of the best performances of the decade and not Joaquin for The Master or Rooney for Carol or Dragon Tattoo time ago. I like Lady Bird but Its overvaluation is insane. Glad you like Manchester. Talking about acting I think Casey and Olivia Colman are the most deserved Oscars ever |

Yes, they had Cate and PSH for Carol and The Master but not Rooney and Joaquin. Even if they used "One performance per movie" rule it's still a little ludicrous.
I don't like Lady Bird. At all.

I don't like Lady Bird. At all.
I think Saoirse performance is normal tho. Not even great. She was fantastic in Brooklyn. |
