Fincher with F

Of David Fincher's Fight Club, he says, "I saw thirty minutes of it only because our trailer is playing in front of it. And I would love to go on railing about the movie, but I'm just going to pretend as if I haven't seen it. It's just unbearable. I wish David Fincher testicular cancer, for all of his jokes about it, I wish him testicular fucking cancer."

One of the most talented filmmakers of my generation is David Fincher. All right. But he's not in the same category as me because I'm a writer/director, and that makes it different. That makes it a different thing.

...and it's a lot easier to go and look at the scripts that are out there, and available, and you can maybe work with a writer, or do a little rewrite, or do that kind of thing. And you get more movies made. But, you know, cut to six years down the line, and where's that voice? It's gone away.

...'cause to me the glory of what I do is the fact that it starts with a blank piece of paper.

Just to clarify: My comments about Fincher and Fight Club were stupid. Wishing anyone testicular cancer isn't funny and I did end up seeing the film. I had a problem with the violence and the cruelty -- I just couldn't get past it -- blah blah blah....I wrote a letter to Fincher apologizing for my comments.....he was cool about it.
