Loving Vincent (Van Gogh) is about the last few years of his life. What makes the film so special at least to me (an oil painter) is that the movie is essentially animated using approximately 65,000 original paintings that have been painted over the past few years to make the film.
They are all based on Vincent's original work.
It finally got a US distributor, (happened in Cannes) and now can begin it’s festival tour next month.
I would expect it to get considerable love for animated films, it is to be released to US Theaters this fall.

Stars that modeled for the 65,000 pictures include Helen McCrory, Douglas Booth, Poldark's Aidan Turner, Saoirse Ronan, Chris O'Dowd and Jerome Flynn. They will also be voicing the movie.
