This award season is crazy so far. If Jennifer Lopez wins an Oscar and Joaquin doesn’t, I quit JL isn't even a good actress. Is this a joke? She has some Oscar buzz with Hustlers

Oh, Jennifer won't win Oscar, no chance (maybe a nod in a week category and that's all). It's between Scarlett and Rene Zelweger. And Laura Dern is winning Supporting Actress.
I think Laura Dern is overrated. When I see her performances, I don't see her characters, I always see Laura Dern doing a kind of rictus ... do you know what I mean? Same with Di Caprio and some others

Yeah...I know where you are coming from on this one. But she is respected veteran within the Academy and this is kind of supporting role they like.
Agree about Leo. Problem with him is that he thinks he could play everyone and anything which is wrong in my opinion. He is good when he has a fun with the roles (like WoWS, Django and Once Upon a Time...) or romantic lead (Titanic and Gatsby) but when he plays these ultra-serious "I'm trying too hard" performances he is almost unwatchable sometimes (and obviously miscast). These types of roles (biopics especially) don't suit him at all. Comedy and fun is more his thing. To be talented (and good) actor is not enough; you also must to be aware of your limitations.

So true. I totally see Laura winning as you said. She already got an Emmy for nothing (BLL)
