She’s back December 3 2021. in theaters Going back to the movie theater to see a Rooney movie after years and a pandemic would be epic <3 I don’t remember when was the last time I went to the theatre but it was before these crazy times. I guess I will pay to watch it online.

I don’t know if they showed it in the official transmission but only the West Side Story was leaked on social networks. Yeah, Hopkins !!! The great thing is that Frances didn't even campaign :) I like her performance in NOMADLAND more than the others she has won for. She is a great person. How sad that they will never award an actress like Carey. There is no role more showy than that. I also liked the script winners. Erik M won for his first film, only Fincher can do that

I don’t think the trailer was shown. Like Sethan mentioned, I think the only trailer to be shown was the West Side Story one (which looked like something Tom Hooper would have made.)

Haha...you are too harsh Red, it can't be THAT bad. But yeah, saw the trailer; it was Ok-ish I guess. Not really a fan of idea of remaking (re-imagining) the classics. I guess it will score well with the academy ( I'll already predict that the actress who plays Anita will win in Supporting Actress category). And I dislike Ansel Elgort. Find him annoying.

Erik M won for his first film, only Fincher can do that Promising Young Woman probably alienated some older, more conservative Academy members so Carey not winning is not a surprise. But isn't she cast in that upcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic ? It's exactly the type of role the academy usually love and award. So here is the new chance for her. But above all, with PYW her Hollywood career feels regenerated after slowing down in 2nd half of 2010s. She will get many oportunities again. I'd like that to happen to Rooney (and Fassbender) too.

Hope you are right. I think THE RIDER is way better than NOMADLAND by the way

Wasn't excited for new Rooney project like this since Carol. I'm still cautious but have good feeling about it.
