I think it's only possible and logical decision, probably even few days to late.

If the world doesn't end, I think this movie has a great chance of continuing smoothly once the pandemic is over because Fox S is behind and a bunch of big names. I think it's a lot sadder for small movies that had gotten funding after a lot of fighting and now their future is uncertain, like the new movie that Charlie M was going to shoot in NY and many others.

The world will not end and the virus will be defeated - sooner or later; hopefully with minimum more victims.
Think this way - ten years from now it won't matter if this movie is released in 2020, 2021 or 2022. It's important that they finish work on it and that the movie turns out good (at least 70-75% of it is completed, right ?).
But all of this is secondary now; let's defeat pandemic first and bring world back to normal.

Guillermo is staying on Toronto without ticket to Mexico anytime soon. Here didn’t talk about Nightmare but you can see how special human being he is. I would have liked to be in that restaurant with Rooney, Bradley and him in New York. I tried to see the rest of his filmography but I got bored in Hellboy ... I think his best movie is Labyrinth.

According Collider Cate Blanchett already finished her participation in NA. I don’t think Rooney is done with it because her character is related to the whole carny but who knows... Dafoe said he will be shooting in March...

I don’t know what to think. Another actress and waste of material? I don’t think so but really I don’t know (And yes, I think the baby is most important if you ask me about it)

Tbh, I didn't expect this before February/March next year.
Maybe they'll do Rooney's part in October (or even November ?). How much time it takes to recover after pregnancy usually ? If she is now six months (maybe) then we can assume she'll be available for the fall ? In the best case at least ?
Whatever, it should be fine. I don't think they'll go with another actress (not even think about it) because that would be lame as fck.

She should be available in the fall. Will she feel ready tho? The Cate thing made me think that they filmed more than I imagined, maybe there isn't much left to film. Rooney really has no luck with projects. I mean a fucking pandemic! How many were the chances?LOL I'm just kidding.

I don’t think they will resume in September, like how are they going to respect social distancing? are they planning to green screen individually each actor? My workplace has told us that we are definitely still be working from home during the fall. There’s travelling restriction to enter Canada… if they want to keep filming in Toronto, Rooney will have to bring a lot of food on a truck, truck drivers bringing food or PPE are allowed to enter Canada during the Pandemic. I will totally understand if she declines. I would not understand if they remove her scenes from the film if that happens.

Contrary to popular misconception her role is small ( but crucial). Circus segment of filming with Dafoe, Collet etc hasn’t even started probably and from my understanding it's the main chunk of the part. mortimer605General knowledge says that ususaly it takes at least 6-8 weeks to return to normal physical condition after labor, depending on each individual of course. I don’t think it matters anyway to be honest, becouse I don’t belive Rooney would leave her infant behind few weeks after labor. Also any date of hypothetical filming resume is still guessing and wishful thinking at this point so I would not worry and think about it to much. Ontario has still around 400 new cases every day, it won't reopen anytime soon. Bad luck in work tho, nobody could have predicted pandemia.

Del Toro talks about NA in the last 8 minutes of this podcast. He says he made the decision to stop filming very early so it wasn't a violent cut. He says it's based on the novel and it could be a mini series ... and the cast is fantastic. If you really love movies, I recommend listening to it in full because it tells great things about cinema. I think it is more entertaining to hear Del Toro speak than to watch his movies. Regardless of how her situation ends, I am glad that Rooney had the opportunity to meet and work with such a special person. t.co/rhkj1fTlsX?amp=1open.spotify.com/episode/4OHKS5p18Ni89Xeplgahbw?si=NFx5ZmgESWCTqVuGGhVLwA

I do have to say though, her luck is becoming the stuff of legend

Q&A with Guillermo today at 2 pm ET, on Instagram live from IndieWire. Maybe he will say something about Nightmare Alley.
