“The mini-series will start filming in the spring at locations in the UK and Venice” I think by that time there will be a vaccine in the US so one less problem. I also realized that Luca has credit as a writer which guarantees that it will not be “just a remake”. I loved his series on HBO We Are Who We Are, but his movies have aged poorly in my mind, I haven't revisited them tho. I think the one I remember most fondly is A Bigger Splash because of Yurick's photography. Hopefully he's the DP on this too. I never was a big fan of CBYN Another thing that deserves mention is that this would be the fourth time that Rooney and Cate have worked together and it’s a shame that people underestimate or misrepresent this fact. How often a young actor ends up working with his idol four times in A list projects directed by four of the best directors in the world. It’s really something special. It would be like one of us in a few years ended up working with Rooney on Fincher and PTA movies or something :)

Update on IMDb: Dated 2022. Pilot, characters For technical reasons I have only been able to watch he 2008 version which is horrible :) Bloodless and uninspired, but you can still see the wonders that Guadagnino can do with the material. And the casting of Rooney Mara as Lady Julia is objectively perfect: Rooney has the class, the natural aristocracy, a certain clever arrogance, a kind of humor. Cate's choice is also really interesting regardless of her relationship with R's character.

Is this still happening?.I just assumed with everything that Guadagnino is attatched to,he would probably drop this.Although,I'm guessing the CMBYN sequel probably isn't happening anymore thanks to Armie Hammer.

Honestly, I don't know, I'm just going along with the IMDb flow for now ... It’s totally true what you say, Luca has many projects ..But I think this one has too many details and names to be just a rumor? Someone asked the guy who gave the exclusive and he said it's still in (early) development, but who knows... He has a movie about cannibalism now. LOL

According THR the remake of Scarface of Luca G is to be filmed in California. And But also in Deadline the company Mammoth confirmed Brideshead Revisited in developing... So maybe it will take a while? Judging from its version it’s an expensive project. I mean it's really important to GO to Venice and London to film and that kind of things. The locations are a character more... plus all THAT cast and the luxury design ... PS: Who needs a Scarface’s remake?. So boring...

Here Luca said Brideshead Revisited isn’t happening. But at some point it was because he didn’t say it is fake or something?... Maybe it will be with another director and cast?
