I love Sarah Polley since I watched her movies with Isabel Coixet and at some point I wrote on this forum that I would like her to work with Rooney when it was quite unlikely, so this is special to me. I feel like Sarah and Rooney are kindred spirits. Both as actresses are subtle and elegant. Very selective with great taste. They are both connected to the world and interested in having a life rather than paying a price in business. They are very smart but not pretentious. Sarah as a filmmaker is personal, sensitive and human. I think Stories We Tell is extraordinary and her adaptation of Alias Grace (on Netflix) is perfect and criminally underrated.
The cast is amazing. Someone should record their meetings :)

Rooney in the set of Women Talking (with River!!!) Ona, the main character is pregnant (from the beginning) so I guess she’s who Rooney is playing. I read the novel, which is already like a script to be honest, but very deep and emotional in its meaning. Ona is a great character. Her sister Salome (Claire Foy, probably <3) is smaller role but also very interesting. Such a good project, very truthful, resonates a lot in these modern days

River looks like Rooney A LOT <333. Coolest baby since Charlotte Gainsbourg I forgot to say if Rooney is Ona, Frances McDormand will be her mother!

. Rooney looks so thin here. She didn't looked like that even during UNA filming. Hope she is OK.

Does it have broader potential or it will be "hermetically closed" drama (only for arthouse audience)? Just asking to know what to expect.

The true events on which it’s based are between 2005 and 2009. I think the format may be a bit claustrophobic or theatrical - although that depends on the type of adaptation of Sarah - but the theme is very feminist and therefore popular now. I think it could identify and inspire people and be nominated for awards like Away From Her

Women live without any material or mental progress. The author of the novel lived in one of them which I think give to the story a plus and an extra sense of truth
