I don’t get all the buzz, maybe I should have what she’s having or change my shampoo :lol2: : I feel like her ;) : There’s currently just one theatre in town since last Thursday that has Song to Song. There hasn’t be any advertisement for it yet. Obviously people who were there are fans of someone in the movie. We were only 34 people, 3 left before the middle of it. A lot of people leave during the film, guess they don't understand what a Malick film is. :lol2: Malick said in interviews recently he goes back to a script, guess his newer films should be better (according to critics)
He's really something else. I can see how he can be frustrating but at the same time I can understand how liberating it could feel for actors to let it out and risk it along with him, and not give two fucks what anyone thinks.

I thought only the French at Cannes did that. I stayed because of Rooney ;) . I’m a very patient person, but I could notice the audience was not and obiusly they were fans of someone involved with this movie, people would laugh each time when someone left, 2 other left too, but they returned after a long break. That's good, he needs a script. I would rather watch this on Netflix and pay to see The discovery in a big screen... but you know, life is not fair.

I can see how he can be frustrating but at the same time I can understand how liberating it could feel for actors to let it out and risk it along with him, and not give two fucks what anyone thinks. As much as I try, I don't see the " something else". Apart from this one, I’ve seen other 3 Malick movies: The Thin Red Line, The New World and The Tree of Life. This one is my less favourite of the 4. I LOVE Poetry, and I was excited when I read a few of the comments of people saying this was poetry, after seen it I can not understand why that has been said. I find that Malick hasn’t been careful with measuring the lights in most frames, it felt as if the exposure was a bit closed, in others so opened that everything seemed sort of flat. The most stunning scene for me, was one Cate was in. I wish he would have keep the same photography’s parameters for all the movie. The title doesn’t fit, I thought as the tittle says Song to song was to define a sequence or something. In fact, there’s hasn’t been enough time for songs. There was one scene in which Michael is singing, I wish Malick would have turned up the volume, that scene could have been memorable. Sometimes, it felt as if Rooney didn’t know what to do :( , it is not her fault, I didn't feel liberating for Rooney, i think it kinds of limited her because it was no direction at all, except maybe in that scene in which she dance. Ryan posses too much. I don’t understand the point of casting Rooney, Michael, Natalie, Cate, Holly, Bérénice and make them fade. This was like having a long conversation with someone face to face, with someone who is rambling. I’ve never felt bored with any Rooney's movie, there’s a first time for everything i guess.

I'm trying to keep positive 🙏 Although I'm not expecting a riveting masterpiece of cinema, I just hope some good cinematography and those dimples.

Terry must have thought it was funny to send the vegan to the meat section, it is not. I don’t hate. I didn’t liked it, I don’t remember when was the last time I got so bored in the theatre…I started to think that I run out of almonds, peanuts and bread at home and had to buy some. I tried to remember when was the last time I changed my water filter. I wanted to continue reading the book I had in my purse. I brainstormed your poster too. I stayed just because I thought that at the end, I would have some kind of enlightenment. I really tried. This would not normally happen when I go see a movie. If you are seeing it in a month, stop watching the clips. I gave myself 3 weeks of STS thread abstinence and that wasn’t enough to forget all the stuff, before that I clicked on every video, saw all the pics, but read just 2 reviews and some comments of people who loved it.

Honestly, I've come to terms what modern Malick is, so I have no problem watching a bunch of pretty bohemians meander and mumble for two hours if it's as beautiful in the trailer, especially if it centers on Rooney.

renoh How much screen time does Cate and Berenice have? I think around 4 minutes each maybe less.
