As we know, Val Kilmer made the cut of the film, however, One Big Soul re-posted a post he made on Facebook describing his role as a "cameo". Do you think that one scene of him cutting his hair and on stage is his only scene? If its a cameo then maybe its just one scene (hopefully the hair chopping scene, lol) or two at best. I really hope he's in it for longer.

When will we get the trailer for this? I'm really surprised we don't have it already. The film comes out in March and we're already in the second week of Feb.

Who do you think has been cut from the film? Confirmed Rooney, Ryan, Natalie, Cate, Val, Patti Smith, Lykke Li, the Black Lips, Iggy Pop, Florence and the Machine, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. (Per Indiewire photo release) Bale seems to be out. Maybe Haley Bennett too? She isn't mentioned here.

(Per Indiewire photo release) Lykke Li? wow I love the I Follow Rivers song. I don't get what in the head of Malick was to cast the Black Lips instead of any other band. That is not a logo, how many years to do that.

Fass isn't confirmed ? Whuut ? I mean, he is one of the four main characters; it can't be that he appeared only in these deleted 25 minutes, right ? And it doesn't make any sense that Portman is in the final cut without him.
I don't like these cuts in the last minute. 145 minutes was more epic runtime.

Fassbender is in. He's in official promotional photo Sad to say but this movie looks like a beautiful disaster. We can thank Malick for the best behind the scenes photos ever tho. People waiting for scenes between Cate and Rooney, I'm sorry to disappoint you but they did not even meet in that shooting

I don't think anyone expect scenes between Rooney and Cate; they met for the first time at SBIFF 2014 and Song to Song was shot in 2011-2012. Why do you think it looks like beautiful disaster ? Malick hasn't done a bad movie yet. His officially two weakest films To the Wonder and Knight of Cups were polarizing and not for everyone but not bad. And box-office isn't problem, nobody expects this to make big bucks anyway. I think Song to Song has potential to be different and surprising ("more edgy" as one of producers said) than the last two Terry's entries. We'll see (and hope). But this cut in the last minute wasn't needed, I agree. What was the point ? Fans will watch his films even if they are 200 minutes long and mainstream audience won't care anyway.

Beautiful because "Terry" filmes are always beautiful visually. Disaster cause all the delay ( Roo doing voiceover in 2015!! i.e) and changes reveals a sort of insecurity from the crew and producers even for Malick standards. Obviously I will be the happiest person if I'm wrong. However Malick and R Mara in the same opening credits is enough reason to celebrate I see some people in Twitter talking about a Cate & Roo together again in a movie
