I had access to the extended version and I will say it is a more beautiful and artistic cut. I will not say that it is indispensable because it is something that only a lover of the cinema would appreciate. The pace is slower in the good sense of the word, there are more breathtaking panoramas in India and the photography direction looks even more great. The transition between India and Australia parts of the film is more fluid and organic. Rooney has a couple more scenes inside this version and the scenes that have in the version of the cinema are a little longer, less edited and has some more lines. The scene of dancing in lights and shadows is still the only indispensable. Most of the extras are available on YouTube though there are new ones that give nice clues to Garth's spirit and history. I still have not heard the audio commentary of Garth over the theater cut but I will soon

Oh, thank you nenya!!! :D that song reminds me of an old mentos commercial, also it reminds me of the Veruca Salt song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

It really is. My favorite part was always "Layers Expanding Time" (27:25-32:53). It's ethereal.

Not sure if anybody has mentioned this, but I re-watched Lion on Netflix yesterday. I feel certain this is the Aussie version and I think I like it better than the US version I saw in the theater.
Just my opinion.

The final credits also seemed a little different, but not sure about anything completely new. Guess we will Ned a second source to clarify this. Charles
