Looks similar to The Road. The book by Cormac McCarthy is one of the best ever and one of my favorites. The film adaptation is well intentioned but doesn’t do it justice

I'm not good at crying in movies, I've only cried twice with movies I've seen in my house on the biggest television possible: James White and Light of my Life. Both about being parents (Do I need therapy? :) Light of my Life has everything I hope a movie / director has: eye, special rhythm, heart, honesty, effortless ambition, sensitivity ... Light of my life is in theaters and digital now and I hope people give it the opportunity it deserves. And they judge the movie the way they want AFTER SEEING IT.
It's like The Road in a good way and Lowery could have done it.
Go to see James White if you have the opportunity too. It’s amazing. I think it’s on Netflix
