Very intriguing. It`s certainly visually stunning.I`m nowhere near as excited for this as I was for Carol though. Same here. For the visual thing, I'm waiting for Manifesto. And very excited for that Sofia Coppola Little women go psyco... forgot the name of that one.
The name of the movie is The Beguiled but I like your title more :lol2:
Have you seen original (1971) with Clint Eastwood and Geraldine Page ? I had that experience only once when I was a kid and it was super creepy; need to watch again.

And I love the fact that Kirsten Dunst is in both versions, the sane and the insane one. She was already good when she was a little girl, I'm glad she's had a healthy transition from child to adult actor. I'm not sure If i've watched the original.

I have heard high praise and great expectation for the 'Deer' film. But recall the last two years where the top film in the Screen Daily Jury Grid (which were runaway winner) got nothing from the festival (other than Rooney's best actress). So I am thinking that the best movie may not win, but an unheralded movie that is considered almost as good by the judges might. Charles

Ismael's Ghost, the new Cotillard/Gainsbourg film getting mixed to negative reactions. Some are even calling Marion's performance terrible and say Gainsbourg steals the show.

The Opening Ceremony for 2017 Cannes Film Festival is at 7:15pm (Cannes Time Zone) which is 12:15pm my time. Opening Night Trailer
I am still looking for the Wonderstruck schedule for Photocall etc. My guess is that the morning screening (8:30am) will be for the press and the Photocall and other events would begin at the same time. So the 4:00pm screening would be the red carpet. But these are just guesses, somewhere, eventually there will be a complete schedule. If you find it before I do please copy a link on this thread. Just Updated the Cannes Link on the original post to the Cannes Events Website. This has links to the opening films (Ismael's Ghosts) Photocall and Press Conference so for now this may be the best way to keep up with the various activities. After arriving at the website scroll down to see videos of the various events, now they have the In Competition Jury as well. 2017 Cannes Film Festival Events LinkCharles

I wish he hadn't said this. All films in the competition should have equal chance at winning the Palm.
