CMON CMON is having nice review so far. Sounds like all what I expect from a Mike Mills film and Joaquin performance is closer to HER mood <3 they say. I think is so special and unique Joaquin became father while he’s filming a movie about parenthood and the future of the world... It’s like when Rooney broke up with Charlie in the process of A Ghost Story....

I’ll cry watching this.

Hopefully Joaquin and Rooney will attend to NYFF together

And Clair de Lune is perfect melody for this trailer. Debussy was always my favorite composer.

I find a lot of Debussy influence in Johnny Greenwood's work, especially in The Master.

I honestly always felt that Joaquin would do it sooner or later according to how he behaved with the first one and his relationship with Todd. He even said that he would like Rooney to be a part of the movie (no thanks) Hopefully he talks to Megan Ellison about funding House of the Sky, docs, and Lynne films

Nor have they taken advantage of the great reviews that Green Knight had to enhance the film as they did with A Ghost ...I understand that a while ago Netflix hired the executive who made A24 special in its early days.

I think Macbeth is very supported by the power that Frances seems to have within the industry. Anyway, I love Mike Mills and I think he is a great and very underrated director of actors and the fact that he works with Joaquin on a black and white movie is special to me. Also I think that just as Rooney has chosen things influenced by Joaquin, here you can see a certain influence of Rooney in him ... Mike's films are not perfect but they strike a personal chord with me for some reason. They say that his performance is subtle and heartfelt, which is in my opinion the best version of Joaquín as an actor.

Trailer was really beautiful and dreamy (you can't go wrong with black and white and Debussy's music). And the role really suits Joaquin now when he is dad in real life (I think same happened to Mills recently, am I right?).

Mike has a 9 years old non binary kid with Miranda July. I think he wrote the movie for them or something. By the way, you’re right, First Reformed is THAT good. I watched again without the buz recently and I really appreciated it. Paul Schrader is annoying off screen tho :)
