Well, The Current War was not well received in Toronto by critics.
It seems that it was not a very good decision to put The Current War in place of Mary Magdalene, the film does not seem to have a chance to be nominated for anything in the awards. At most you can get a lot of box office.

Maybe Mary Magdalene is really good. And it was pushed to 2018 so as not to get dirty with this :)

It`s going to be interesting to see if the whole Weinstein :devil: mess is going to impact future TWC releases including MM.He`s in a lot of trouble and that`s going to hurt the company, a company that was already having financial difficulties.

Now (and in awards season) it is dead but next year who knows. People have short memories and in the case of MM See Saw and Focus F they can appear as main producers |

Just saw in IMDb Weinstein Co is only distributor of MM Not producer so maybe the dates are still on around the world. In March. Maybe Universal take the US release now
