Also I think bad reviews are unfair. In some way they criticize the film for not being epic or as they expected it to be. If you watch the movie for what it is, you will see a good story of beliefs and searches. A story calm but deepened by the performances of Rooney and Joaquin. Both make their characters human and sensitive and it is worth seeing in the cinema. It's a humanistic story which is a risk and not for everyone...The DP and costume design are good too. It’s just a small story about people that believe in a better world in different ways... The bad reviews came from the first critics, one wrote something and the rest rewrote it, well at least they were complaining about the same thing lol. People in social media seems to be satisfied with it, and very happy with Rooney performance. I hope they release it over here soon :sad: . By the way, I saw this week at H&M a blouse that looked like the robe Rooney is wearing in that last promo pic… I knew they were selling Salander clothes before, and now this is a coincidence. |

I`m pretty sure this is never getting a theatrical release in the US.They may as well just sell it to Netflix or let it go straight to DVD.  |

FYI, it hasn't been released in Canada either  . I keep my hopes they are delaying it for the end of the year  . The straight to DVD will be sad, I have requested on Netflix, that would not be as sad as the DVD first i guess. I have not yet seen this one and TSS. |

I check iTunes Canada from time to time if theses 2 movies are available, no luck so far. I don’t get why they consider cloud platforms for country licensing. No DVD here so far, anyways, I’m not a fan of DVD/bluray and we don’t have that yet either. I tried to rent TSS in you tube but it says not available for this country :( . |

Well, Mary Magdalene leaked and is on DVD in some places so there are a lot of comments about the movie. Some find it very different from the classic biblical story and very slow but the vast majority praises the performance of Rooney as extraordinary, sensitive and subtle and captures the spiritual message of the film. I'm glad that the film finds its audience
