I was listening to this amazing Creep version today, such a cathartic version by the Scala & Kolacny Brothers . Very well chosen for this trailer.
Scala & Kolacny Brothers version is beautiful (I used it for the one of my YouTube tributes dedicated to Rooney years ago).
Rooney is a big fan of Radiohead, I think (when she was young she had a crush on Thom Yorke) so she probably loves this song - in both versions. Also, as we know she is fan of PTA and Jonny Greenwood (lead guitarist of the band) composes music for his films. Everything is connected.
Creep is my fav of the covers Scala & Kolacny Brothers have done. I remember that interview in which Rooney mentions Thom Yorke :). What amaze me is the fact that this song never sounds old, always so current. Back in the diskman days, I used to listen to Radiohead everyday, not all the songs, just a few of them specially this one and fake plastic trees.

Re-watching that film was incredibly melancholic, especially in the context of 2017, where we really get to see the impact that the internet and social media has made on our culture. Erica's comment about the internet being written in ink, not pencil was gut wrenching. It's like every part of your soul, good and bad, is scarred into this virtual landscape. There's definitely a lot of stuff I've done and posted (or hell just my web history) that I would be mortified if it ever got out to the public or to the people I knew personally.

I really recommend checking out the documentary of the making of the film:
Part 1Part 2 Part 3Part 4Part 2 goes into Jesse and Rooney's opening scene and you can tell how much those two enjoyed filming it.

That trailer with the choral Creep cover was great. I remember being confused at the time wondering why Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher were doing a movie about Facebook with Justin Timberlake but when I saw that trailer it immediately became one of my most anticipated films of the year.

I'm about to watch the film for the first time today! (This is one of the few Rooney films, I've yet to watch). I'm looking forward to it. It's a great one. Let's know what you think

Has anyone here seen this particular THR Roundtable? Robert Duvall's reaction (@41:50) to Fincher doing too many takes for TSN is hilarious. Goes off on how Kubrick (who did many takes as well) was an "actor's enemy". His examples for bad performances are from The Shining and A Clockwork Orange. Ryan's reaction basically sums it up Poor Jesse for being forced to sit through this.

I know many people shit (undeservedly in my opinion) on Shelley Duvall's performance in The Shining but this is the first time that I hear that Malcolm was bad in A Clockwork Orange :confuse: WTF Robert ? He didn't mention their names but it was obvious.
43:38-44:17 (44:11 - Ryan's subtle reaction)
I wish Joaquin was also there; he is kind of pal with Duvall. It would be even more priceless.

Ryan's reactions to Jesse's neuroticism are hilarious.

She was the MVP for me. I love her. I Don't know what Duvall's issue with Kubrick is, but I know Kubrick gave Shelley a really hard time on The Shining because of the number of takes he forced on her to the point where it affected her deeply. Fincher is demanding but he seems more considerate and collaborative than that. So it kind of irritates me how Duvall so easily tried to club these two together like that.
