Rewatched it tonight for the first time since it was out, although I saw it 4 times on its initial run, so I remembered it really well (but that's also due to the general quality of the movie). It's pretty remarkable what a huge impression Rooney left when she's in the movie for less than 10 minutes. In memory it feels like she's one of the leads along with Eisenberg/Garfield/JT even though I still knew she only had like 3 scenes. I watched it again not long ago and totally agree about the huge impression Rooney made in a relatively small role.It also reminded me how great Armie Hammer was in his dual role, it`s nice to see his career begin to thrive again.

Watched this again last night.I honestly think this is the best film of the last 10 yrs.The script, direction and performances are perfection.
It's definitely in Top 10 of the 2010s. Fincher and Sorkin at the height of their powers, no doubt. It's not only the best zeitgeist movie of the decade but it's also important how many talented young actors (1980s generation) become household names (more or less) after delivering truly fantastic work here. Some films are great for that fact alone.
Little trivia - Fincher said he cast Rooney because she reminded him of Katharine Ross in The Graduate. Yeah, their personalities are somewhat similar. In that period Rooney was perfect to play variation of Elaine Robinson character.
I remember Fincher saying that. Rooney may have reminded him of Katharine in some way, but just going by the looks I think Kate looks a lot more like her. In fact whenever I see her I'm reminded of Katharine.

True. I could easily imagine Kate playing Mrs. Robinson's daughter ten years ago. She had more that "ideal, all-American girl" looks than Rooney. But in the Rooney's brief performance in TSN you can see a bit of Katharine from The Graduate. The type of high-school or college girl you certainly want to passionately fight for (one way or another :wink2: ). Love it ! Maybe Fincher had that in mind when he compared them.

After all the controversy with Facebook recently, I`m kinda hoping Fincher and Sorkin get together again to make The Social Network 2.
