It's too early but I have a feeling that Best Actress Oscar is Olivia Colman's to lose. This might be her year, especially if THE CROWN Season 3 premieres in January/February. I'd be totally OK if this happens but let's see what the other festivals and movies will bring. I think she'll go supporting, and if she does, she's close to a lock to win it.I have a feeling Emma will probably be pushed for best actress as she's the bigger star.Sounds like Nicole Kidman may be a real contender for Destroyer too.
It would be interesting if the two Elizabeths - Claire and Olivia - are pitted against each one in the Supporting Actress category.

Anyway, this is Ehrlich's THE FAVOURITE power rankings :wink2: (from Letterboxd)
1. Hector: The Fastest Duck in the City 2. Nicholas Hoult? 3. Sandy Powell 4. Rachel Weisz 5. the bunny from the end. you'll know the one. 6. Olivia Colman 7. the naked dancing man who looks *way* too much like James Corden 8. Emma Stone 9. taylor swift's neo-nazi boyfriend from Operation Finale

Surprised by Audiard as best director. I did not think it would be the kind of film that stands out for the direction Maybe they choose the name of the french director, not the product. I would have expected that spot for Alfonso Cuarón. He got the Golden Lion for a film he directed, wrote, produced and also his credits expand to cinematography and edition too… how come he didn’t get the director too.
