Really? Because just going by the Youtube comments a lot of people feel the same way. In fact, one of the first things people leave comments on about this film is how sad the ending is.I guess now it's more of this than the 'not good enough' thing. But yea, when the film came out back in 2011, I distinctly remember people having issues with it. I don't get it  Hopefully they've changed their mind. :lol2: Funny how people wanted a Salande-Blomkvist happy ending. Imagine the baby with the dragon tattoo sequel. |

My problem with Scarlet as Lisbeth isn't simply that she's "too beautiful" or that she doesn't really fit the physical description, but she's too well known and has too much of a distinct presence. Lisbeth is a silent ghost that can overwhelm you if you underestimate her and Rooney has that exact same unassuming quality to her that is essential for the character. |

I was trying to remember which other actresses were in the running for this.Emily Browning and Lea Seydoux were both considered I think.Rooney was born to play this role though. There's a whole list. The article mentions a bunch of them. The search for 'the girl' alone was an iconic thing. They should make a movie around it. |

Man, reading the comments it's hilarious how completely off the mark and idiotic everyone's reactions were. Once again showing how on point Fincher and Cian's instincts were that they went against the grain of what the studios and masses wanted and helped jump start one of the most talented actresses of this generation. |

No doubt this was a Huge break for her and helped to launch her career in a big way.Tbh the roles she had before GWTDT, apart from The Social Network, weren`t up to much.Do you think she would`ve made it if she hadn`t got the role?.I wonder how her career would`ve panned out if she hadn`t?.  |
