Malick is having incredible reviews. A bit sad that Song to Song has not had better distribution. Song to Song is also very good, people
I LOVE Song to Song Very glad for Malick (just watched Days of Heaven on TV today; forgot how beautiful the movie is)

Carol came in 4th not that familiar with the first three films, but the others 5 and lower were very well received. Charles

Updated the Screen Daily link (which does not automatically update like ICS).
ICS which has delayed and critics may change votes has the following top three:
Pain and Glory Portrait of a lady on Fire Bacurau
Screen Daily has:
Pain and Glory Atlantics Wild Goose Lake Portrait of a Lady not yet on grid
Won't be surprised if Frankie makes a good showing, Isabelle is cast perfectly in this role.

Haven't seen Uncle Boonmee yet but Melancholia and Holy Motors are very good movies. Strong recommendation.

Frankie is a little under 3 on ICS, not great but good.
Once upon a time is mid 3s early though, only a few votes so far. Tomorrow morning should have more.

The critics are mostly finished voting, with no change to the top three. Looks like Parasite took the top spot on the Screen Daily grid as well.
So who gets the Palme? I have no idea, normally someone with a history of supporting the event.
Maybe a woman, Celine Sciamma ‘Portrait of a Lady on Fire’?

My predictions are that Pain and Glory wins the Palme.Sciamma gets Director or alternatively the two leads in Portrait of a Lady on fire win jointly for best actress.

Pedro Almodóvar is an excellent choice. Recent Cannes Jury President, has had a number of films premiering at Cannes, and always been supportive. If the Palme is a lifetime achievement award, he should get it if not for the movie on its own, which could stand on it’s own.

Wow, Cannes has always been unpredictable, would have thought Pedro would have gotten something.
Guess you shouldn't anticipate consistency between juries because they change each year.
