I’m glad for him but I’ve only seen Ojka. Is he really good?

I didn't like Okja very much but recommend Snowpiercer, Memories of Murder,, Mother and The Host. Haven't seen others (like Tokyo!) yet. He is good at various genres (monster movie, social drama, science fiction, action flick, adventure, crime etc) with always present social commentary and dark humor. Judging by the reception in Cannes Parasite might be his best to date and not to miss.
Overall, Korean cinema was overdue for Palme'd'Or a long time ago.

Okja is the only film of his I didn't really like. The Host is incredible, maybe the best monster movie I've ever seen. And Memories of Murder and Mother are stone cold masterpieces.

Now that both SXSW and Tribeca film festivals have been cancelled because of the Coronavirus,I'm thinking Cannes 2020 will be next.
