Rooney Mara blowing a kiss to Luca. Queen He came to hug her 🤗 Rooney doesn't have any new projects listed on IMDb except La Cocina. Does that mean that she is - maybe - preparing herself mentally and studiously to play Audrey in the near future. (That's at least what I want it to be 😘) What do you think? I feel optimistic about this. Someone told me Luca said next year would be busy with a movie about an actress but It could be the promo of the Zendaya thing… I trust Apple. They announced Napoleon and did it very fast and it’s not an easy shoot. Also Luca said Rooney is wonderful. Rooney likes Luca. All seems good… Before Telluride someone talked about Joaquin being in Italy (post Napoleon) so maybe Rooney was there talking with Luca… I’m a believer :)) |

On his IMDb page Brideshead Revisited is still there. Challengers (Zendaya's tennis flick) and Find Me (CMBYN sequel) are listed also and no Scarface remake yet. Don't think CMBYN sequel is happening anytime soon and Brideshead Revisited is not happening at all (if we are to believe what was told). So... Challengers will be likely the next and then either Scarface or Audrey. Or something else. Idk... he has a oportunity to make biopic about beloved cultural icon which was never done before and with an actress perfectly suited for the part. And he is more interested in Zendaya's tennis flick and remake (re-imagining) of the gangster classic which no one is interested to see. Meh... |

Ok, at least something is moving in right direction. According to World of Reel 'The Island' will start filming this Spring. More good news. And Happy New Year to you Sethan! And Red Sparrow, Lex and everyone. (not very good start of New year for me - I got a cold and the last 4-5 days can't get out of my bed but it's getting better. Hope you are all good!) |

Well if they have a script maybe production can get going late this year/early next year and they can have it ready for 2024 Oscar season with a release around Christmas. Really want this to happen, probably my most anticipated unmade project due to my Audrey superfan status and Rooney being perfect for it.

When things go back to normal 'The Island' will probably be priority for Rooney & Joaquin. But yeah, I hope for late 2023/early 2024. Or any part of 2024 for that matter. Guadagnino just finished his new movie 'Queer' so that's done but if 'Challengers' is a success with critics he may spent entire 2023 promoting it for awards season. I would really like to read that script. |

The 1st sentence was - of course - a joke. We ARE interested in this, naturally. But every experienced Rooney fan should be cautious about these things. You never know... especially with the strike going on, without end on sight.
