isn't it Portman more expensive one, as a Oscar winner and all? i'd suspect so, and Rooney works mostly for peanuts anyway, i can't imagine her dropping out because she wanted more money

Too bad. After that long pause, this looked like perfect comeback on the movie set for her. Wonder what happened. Jude Law and Stacy Martin are in the film, only Rooney dropped out.
Shame because this is exactly the unconventional, fresh type of movie I'd like to see her in. And it has mainstream potential. Hope she'll find some proper replacement for this soon. But she looks totally disinterested in the movies now and that's what worries me.

If we don't count a few days on Don't Worry set she was on the pause from the fall 2016 (Mary Magdalene). Almost year and a half. Really hope it doesn't last much longer.
Wasting her time and dropping out of interesting projects will certainly not help her career. She needs a little more ambition and drive at this point. We as a fans must respect her decisions but it's little frustrating to see this happening.
It hurts me to say, but she looks the least ambitious actress of her generation right now.

This sucks, but i don't think this is just Rooney dropping out. The film was struggling to start since last January and, as far as we know, she was attached until midsummer or so. This really might be the case of production company failing to secure financing and then going with a bigger name actress. Still not worried, but i will, if no new projects in the next 3-4 months.

I think she must have had a really good reason to drop this. I don’t think she’s wasting her time either. I like the fact that she’s so determined to do only what she likes, that’s why she has so many memorable performances… I don’t remember much of those actress that are in everything. I read this week that finally a Tv series of the Maddaddam trilogy is going to be made, I would love to see her there as Toby. |

Filming was supposed to start last January, then February, all with Rooney attached. It didn't. Whatever film's problem were they cleary went beyond Rooney just dropping out. |

The person from that 5th tweet doesn’t realize how unfair and out of place he/she is doing that comment, Rooney doesn’t have to pursue other happiness than her own, I think she’s having more than a well balanced life. I’m happy she’s not that kind of actor who chooses projects in order to please crowds.
