This hurts. Especially when we know that Carax wanted Rooney for this project. I have a feeling that Annette will be a great movie and Rooney will not be part of it.  I don't mind when she drops out of movies like Rogue One or Collateral Beauty (although CB had some potential in the hands of Rejon and Jackman) or even Brooklyn (she found the perfect replacement in Carol which is much better film overall) but when this happens with projects like Annette that's sad day. We have to move on but this is painful.
If I were on the place of Carax or producers I'd postpone production until R9.oon is ready ;) +1. In my book she can dropped out everything less this because it´s once in a lifetime opportunity. Carax is an artist, who make just a few movies, with a very special little group of people. It´s his first (and probably only) english film It will be a great movie in terms of art and originality. Its premiere will be in Cannes, he´s french and we know Roo loves all the french things... I know she was trying to make both musicals and it´s a timing thing but... Still hurts a lot. |

I think that poster is a joke, how come it has an allure of an 80's scary movie? i mean the freaking doll in the bottom... Imdb still lists her in Annette.
That doll is my favorite part of the poster (and of any movie posters recently)

lol that doll looks just like the main character of my childhood's nightmares. :casey2: I think the doll might be the substitute for the kid in the poster, I didnt really care much for it when I saw the poster first, now looking at it again, for me it falls somewhere between creepy, cute and random. Leaning slightly more toward creepy  |

Some French journalists are publishing the poster now with the info that Adam and Rooney are the protagonists so there's nothing confirmed yet. I'm not giving hope just I guess she's not totally in and she's not totally out at this point. Let's wait for the official statement.

(per myentertainmentworld.com/feature-films/)I think the end of the spring will suit better Anette, Paris will look beautiful :) It is one of my fav cities, and I always wanted Rooney to film there. I don't think she has dropped anything, her Imdb stills looks intact. |

On IMDb Rooney's name is still attached to the project. This doesn't mean much, of course but it's all that we have at this point.
