Fassbender was so good. Couple of the funniest scenes I've seen in film, Fass is such a goof 😊 I was so happy that Rooney had such big part in the film. So iconic. So intimate. Love. Overall I liked Song to Song better than Tree of Life, although TOL was technically better.
Wow ! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
A couple of questions:
1. Your favorite scene with Rooney (don't forget spoilers)
2. Scene with Fassbender imitating monkey and chasing Rooney on the beach - is funny in good or cringe-worthy way ?
3. Is Natalie's character really underused or she is fine ?
4. How much seconds caterpillar has screen time ?
5. How do you rank the main cast (Rooney, Gos, Fas, Natalie) and supporting (Cate, Holly, Berenice) ? And you can add some cameos also.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone. That being said I'll try to answer some of your q's. Maybe more later 🙂 1. Any scene with Rooney smiling. One thing stuck in my mind: that straw/hay going into rooneys nose. The Caterpillar brought similar very genuine expression. I'll have to see it again to have more coherent view. 2. It was def my favourite scene. Funny in a good way. 3. Maybe little underused, yeah. 4. Had to be a good 30 seconds or more. 5. Rooney / Fass (tied), Natalie, Gos. I was surprised how big part Patti had, I expected it to be a smaller without lines, maybe a gig etc. Patti had many lines and couple of important scenes with Rooney.

So how many of you have seen Song to Song?
I have to add that I don't even try to give an objective view of the film. In my view I had to be immerged in the world and feel and breath it. Comparing to the tree of life I have to say, that I didn't see it at a movietheatre... so the experience is different from the start.

I'd like to share a weird little dream I saw some night after the movie.
In the dream I discovered that song to song was released on dvd and I went to little store to buy it. The dvd case didn't even read song to song and it was directed someone unknown ( but I somehow knew it was the correct movie).
Then the dream took a strange turn, when the store clerk refused to sell the disc to me, and he was young Antonio Banderas. Then we started to fight for the movie... and I woke up.
