I absolute adored Song to Song by the way. Rooney gives a masterclass on acting. Really. I didn't say it because I'm fan. Exciting and sensitive stuff. It's pretty impressive that her most leading performance ever is in a Malick film, the cut-everyone-in-post/production-guy... This is art so I will staring at this film my whole life in one way or another.. Watch it and then see it again with the best headphones that you can get. The Bluray is available in Amazon since 4 July for sale. Best gift ever.

Oh, my Blu-Rays of Lion, Jackie and some other arrived on time but in the past ten days I was completely distracted by some personal things so I really wasn't in the right mood to watch them yet. I need to solve something first...so probably in the next week. Be patient : . Song to Song Blu is coming soon, also.
My Lion Blu-Ray is Region B (Europe) so I don't believe it's integral version; only with deleted scenes.

Oh. I understand of course. I just wanted to be sure I did not miss it in this big thread especially. Tag me in them please. Good luck in everything. In any case "Just keep swimming" or just keep rolling (like Malick would say)

I don't know what I thought of this film. I don't know how to even describe it. Great quotes? :D I got completely lost in it because of Rooney. So unusual, so free, flowing and wistfulness. She is the best parts of this film. Also Rooney and Ryan had a fantastic chemistry. 5/10 p.s. For me, Badlands is still Malick's best.

Yeah, fantastic chemistry and Badlands is a beauty too.

I really liked Rooney's monologues in the movie. Did anyone else see yourself in her here in a very real way? At the core of the character. From the way she thinks and feels about the people around her to how she sees herself. I could see a lot of myself in her. I don't know what that says about me but it was a nice surprise. I didn't think Malick was capable of creating such a multifaceted female character. I know he's super talented, but this coming from a man meant a lot. This is probably where I think him working without a script worked out. Only wish he had explored her more. More of her as a person and less of the belly button fetish. Like, what was that? Can someone explain

Can someone explain YES. I could see myself in her too. And in Ryan a little bit too. I think a lot of people can relate to this film. I mean it's not about genre or sex or parties. It's really about life, fears, force, relationships of power, love... Rooney is stunning on it. So grateful to have a Malick in her filmography.
