Doing some brief googling, Marion Davies is the actress who was in a relationship with William Randolph Hearst, the main inspiration for Charles Foster Kane, so a likely role in the story. As for whether Rooney is definitely in the movie, idk. |

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if she's in this, but there's no other news about it that I can find so.....Also,there's not much of a resemblance between Marion Davies and Rooney.

Yeah, Susan Alexander character (played by Dorothy Comingore) from Citizen Kane was loosely based on Marion.

True but Gary Oldman also looks nothing like Herman Mankiewicz either. Perhaps, characterization will be more important to Fincher then resemblance to the real people in this one.
Let's see who will play Orson Welles and William Randolph Hearst.

True but Gary Oldman also looks nothing like Herman Mankiewicz either. Perhaps, characterization will be more important to Fincher then resemblance to the real people in this one.

I just googled him,you're right,Oldman looks nothing like him.Maybe Fincher will go the prosthetic route,like they did in Darkest Hour. |

I read Marion was born in New York, has sisters who tried it in acting and it was an icon of fashion and style. We know that Fincher likes parallels with life. it also said that she stuttered a little.
