Somebody know something about supposed Rooney's role in Marvel Tv show about Falcon and Winter Soldier? Or it was some gossip? I saw that rumour show up when some Marvel announcements were made, it seems that it was false. |

Not a surprise, we all know Guadagnino is a fan of The Social Network and its cast.
Cate and Ralph Fiennes also rumored to be part of the cast - as Lady and Lord Marchmain. If true Cate and Rooney will play mother and daughter here  (God, I already see some people becoming most annoying if this continues...)
Strongly recommend to all 1981 version with Jeremy Irons, Laurence Olivier, Claire Bloom, John Gielgud etc. It's a classic of British television and it will be a good start to prepare/what to expect from a new one.

Some people questioning Daily Mail as source in this. Of course I have some doubts as well but as it’s a BBC project, I think it really can have an inside knowledge. What do you think?

I forgot to mention that Cate Blanchett is in talks to play Rooney’s mother... I read she was in but had no idea it was confirmed she was playing her mother, those Cate fans are going to be mad. I’ve been watching the 1981 series, turns out you can watch Britbox one week for free. I’m on episode 3 I think (really long episodes!) so far there are only men in those episodes, women have very little screen time. I guess Rooney will play Julia, I’ve only been watching a few minutes each night, puts me to sleep. I guess the remake can improve it a lot . |
