Just watched the Beguiled Press Conference, I highly recommend it. Would rate right along with the Carol and Sicario pressors. Here is the link
This link will take you to a screen that has 3 links the 1st is audio only, the 2nd appears to be pictures, and the 3rd is audio + video (the one you want). Charles

Charles Thanks Charles, I was waiting for this. Edit: Is this audio only? Video isn't playing. Youtube hasn't uploaded the video yet either. I got both the audio and video. There are three or so entries for the pressor, the 1st is audio only the last is audio and video (it has a picture of all the cast at the table). Let me know if you still have problems. Charles

I missed Sofia so much but I disagree with that "best since Lost in Translation" narrative. I love Somewhere and everything she did except the Emma Watson movie. I'm secretly hoping an adult sequel of Somewhere with Rooney as Sofia alter ego instead of Elle F. I really need Rooney in a movie with that kind of tone. Even with another director.
I gave up long ago in predicting awards so I would say that I would like Happy End as best film. Haynes the best director Isabelle the best actress and Joaquin the best actor

Here is my analysis of where films stand in the hunt for critics ratings and ultimately the Palme d'Or or other awards.
In general there may be 10 or more films in the running for something.
Todd Haynes Wonderstruck is a childrens' silent movie (2 things that many critics would count off for) which is very courageous and would be considered a top 5 film in just about any tabulation, even with missing with some critics. It's my personal favorite for awards at least at this point.
Good time is scoring pretty much at the top, but only a few ratings are in, so don't be surprised for change good or, mostly bad.
So far my personal favorite to go see, is Beguiled, hopeful for Nicole but not expecting much, she already has an oscar.
'You Were Never Really Here' is a real sleeper, assuming they are still trying to finish it for a Saturday Premier. It wouldn't have been selected being half finished if it didn't have strong potential in someone's opinion.
Note: Letterboxd account ratings have been excluded from the critic tabulation, but have been listed separately below for comparison purposes.
(#)* represents a small number of ratings so far, expect average rating to change.
(NRY) represents 'No Ratings Yet'
Each column represents a critics organization, how many have cast votes and the scale they rate by. Anything not on a 1-10 scale is converted to a 10 point scale in the total critics column.
Let me know if there are questions, your comment and opinions will be appreciated and should be fun to discuss as we near the end of 2017 Cannes.

YAS, I really liked the first season I saw Top of the Lake SEASON 1 before know who Garth Davis was but I must to say that the EPISODE 3 directed by him (he also co-directed 3 more eps with Campion) is very good. I liked Lion but this S1e03 is better than Lion especially in Elizabeth Moss scenes and it´s a sort a light of hope thinking in Garth´s ability on handle a story with a complex femenine central role like Amanda in House in the Sky. Also if they don´t use the fame card in Nigel´s casting (Joel Edgerton, Hugh Jackman...) australian Top of the Lake´s actor Thomas Wright would be a good option
