*I just saw an emancipatory version of Mary Magdalene where an empowered woman was subjugated from the first pope. Directed by #GarthDavis and interpreted brilliantly by #RooneyMara I recommend it
* I had not seen it, but Garth Davis' "Mary Magdalene" with Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix offers one of the best visions doing justice to the intricate complexity of the characters in The Passion thanks to memorable performances. Highly recommended
*My only contribution cinephile for Easter Sunday is to recommend a very capped: # Maria Magdalena, Garth Davis. Starring Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix (he is Christ) and, compared to Ben Hur or The Passion, this is the least pompous there is. A humble little gem.

To stay in brand :) I got The US bluray of Mary Magdalene. In interviews, actors like Tahar or Ariadne say very nice things about Rooney like she’s not an actor but the character, chameleon, who radiates light and depth. That playing with her is like a tennis match .... Ariadne says she felt immediately connected to her and amaze by her. So sweet and genuine words <3

Showtime is showing it :) Some nice reactions. People react to this movie more intelligently than critics
