I don't wanna start anything but these paparazzi are authorized in that position. I don't say with bad blood. It is a common procedure to any PR team. It's called control of information. It's a smart thing to do, actually

Thanks. This is really good news, but also such a tease. I wish they had revealed the date as well, only because it would've given Harvey less room to go back on it if he wished to at some point during the year. I'm surprised they didn't reveal the date as well. If Harvey decides to to go with November 24, (Carol/Lion weekend limited launch) there is going to be quite the competition, with CALL ME BY YOUR NAME. Apparently TWC has 5 films slated for Fall 2017 release. Here is the article:
Most of these have awards talk, so maybe TWC will wait as long as the festival season before finalizing dates to see which one has created the greatest wake, as Carol did at Cannes. If MM ends up with negative religion squawk, then he may pick one of the others to get the most attention. Personally think it will be MM, but wouldn't rule out the 'Me, Earl and the Dying Girl' director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon film, 'Çurrent War' or for that matter any of the other three as well. As I recall Rooney and Hugh Jackman were to join Alfonso to make 'Collateral Beauty' but Jackman pulled out as then did Rooney and later Alfonso as well. Charles

Screen magazine Lists 'MM' as a possible Cannes screening. Not sure I believe that will happen but any mention is appreciated from my point of view. Listed here under UK . Charles

Charles Unless Harvey is eyeing a Cannes premiere, I don't know about screening. When Carol was in post they released the first teaser in Cannes. Maybe it could be similar to that? Do you or anyone here can see MM premiering in Cannes?

Do you or anyone here can see MM premiering in Cannes? My guess is 'MM' is going to the Telluride and TIFF festivals much like 'Lion'. Personally love the idea of Cannes, but it leaves such a long run up to what I expect to be a late fall release, likely the November date. But Harvey has other awards contention movies as well and he will want to promote those. So would he run 'MM' and say 'Current War' at the same festival? Maybe he will put one in Cannes to see how it plays, I would think 'Current War' is the dark horse here so maybe it would be that one. I am excited for Harvey this year, hopefully he will get back to his winning form, because he sure does like to support any film with Rooney in it. Charles
