I do not really like her style, even though her films are good.
And I do not know exactly who would be good at directing this movie, but it would be interesting if they put a woman instead a man, taking the story into account.

We first heart of it in June 2014, almost 3 years now, buy hey, Carol took way more time and the results were amazing ;) . I’m sure someone will explain once they release the movie why it took so long. All we know is that they start shooting in September in Morocco. |

This is just my unenlightened guess, but it was just a couple of years ago that Room came out and it seemed to me that this could be viewed as being very similar and as a result suffer from not much attention, if it had come out then. For movies in particular, timing is important. So I am sticking with my very wild guess, that the delay is about timing. Charles |

Charles People seems to be interested in true stories all the time specially if they are testimony of survival. Whatever reason the delay was, I really want this to happen because Rooney said she was born for this role, meaning another mind blowing performance. |

he's only considering it at this point, but i wouldn't mind! Rooney loves him, he adores her. i just hope Joaquin won't be playing Nigel :P

Garth is possibly going to direct this?  I thought it would be someone else, but oh well, I'm sure it'll be good. Garth is going back-to-back with films. I wouldn't be shocked if TWC bought it. I`m sure at one point they said they wanted a Woman to direct this, which makes sense as it`s such a female orientated project. :-/ |

it's hard to jugde Garth's work yet, too early to tell how good he is with the female gaze and women perspective (needed in this case very much i think), i wish MM was released already so i could make my mind about that aspect of his talent and overall approach, i liked his work on Lion and his relationships with actors but that was completely different thing.
well, we'll see, after all it's not a done deal yet. but i think Rooney could be the one who approached him with this project. she would feel safe with him and that's important in these few very difficult scenes
