Garth is possibly going to direct this? I thought it would be someone else, but oh well, I'm sure it'll be good. Garth is going back-to-back with films. I wouldn't be shocked if TWC bought it. I`m sure at one point they said they wanted a Woman to direct this, which makes sense as it`s such a female orientated project. :-/ I was excited about that, and even more when RedSparrow suggested Mira Nair. So now: Garth: 2+1 David Fincher: 2 David Lowery: 2 (and we know 1 more will eventually come) Todd: 1 (he needs to catch up with the rest!!)

But kinda impossible isn't?

Garth and David are safe - she will work with them a couple of times more. Fincher and Haynes are an absolute must , hopefully more than once. She is just perfect actress for both of them.
And of course, PTA and Haneke. It will happen, we must be patient.

PTA is more likely to happen than Haneke. But I shall keep praying. How incredible would it be

It's not a reliable source, but I think Garth is doing this. Why would he mention it otherwise. Having seen Lion I feel that House is a very Garth project in terms of sensitivity. But after Mary Mag another protagonist of Rooney about beliefs and searches sounds repetitive. I know that one is religious and the other is not. But if they make humanist history as they say there is a similar vibe. Ellison could let Garth be more artist tho.
But I love the idea of them working together again. I like directors who work with the same actors from the beginning. Like Casavettes ❤️, I wish another Rooney - Benedict collaboration. He's great.

I was Secretly hoping for a director that shakes that tone of self-help to the history. Garth will not do that. He's too "loving"

He's too "loving" he would have to deal with rape and tortures scenes, i don't know how "loving" he can be with these :P if this stuff is the script, someone sensitive would be right for this. i don't want to watch something like in Don't Breath ever again

I mean that Garth is the type of director that is branded by his protagonist and adores it. I like the directors who see the lights and shadows of their characters, capable of making a critical profile. But it's personal. You do not have to agree with me

We were wondering why this hasn't been made which may be about not having a director.
Now I am wondering about producers, are there any?
Don't necessarily disagree with some of the comment about Garth's ability to pull off this type of topic.
But I do see him as a great new story teller, not unlike Lowery and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, and you never know what parts of House he would be able to push together to make it special.
And though there may be some rough pieces, all in all there could be some very feel good aspects at the end (as I understand the basic story).
But we do not know how broad his spectrum is as there is only one movie so far.
Just some random thoughts, would trust Rooney's judgement here.
