Charles No. He just said he was considering it and the project jumped to preproduction. I think it's a lot of coincidence. I do not think he mentioned it if he was not going to do it. But I can obviously be wrong. I love the idea of Garth doing a lot movies with Rooney in a Cassavetes-ish way I don't love so much the idea of someone like Garth in charge of Amanda story despite the fact he has the sensitivity for it. Maybe because he has the same kind of sensitivity with Rooney & Amanda an outsider could be better option . Yes, I'm weird and overthink things :) |

Considering his is the only name we have heard as a possibility it would be natural to think it would be him. But agree with Lara and Sethan that we may be jumping to conclusions.
I think Rooney will have a 'BIG SAY' on how the script will be interpreted and/or written if it hasn't been. I believe it was IMDB that had her listed as actor and producer. She and Amanda have been the two co-promoters that is for sure.
So if those two are satisfied with the selection, whoever it is, we should probably be satisfied as well.

There was already a director in September 2016? I don't think that one was Garth. He was like shooting Mary M in that date. Maybe the director dropped out and they offered it to Garth.

The tweet is from someone who attended to one of Amanda's conferences I remember a director being attached, maybe it was Garth, who is now coming up for 'air' and has time to think about it. He only has one film in the can. His first shot garnered 6 Oscar noms, maybe it was him all along? Now we await Garth's shot #2, MM! And await the name of a director for 'HitS'! Charles |

I'm going to be reading this book, after I finish the current one I'm reading, next! Who's read it? What do you think of it? :) I've read it. I remember sharing my thoughts on it on IMDb. Here it is (4th post): MovieChat: Rooney MaraI've read it too. I'm not into memoirs, but I read it because you guys know why ;) . For me it's hard to put my thoughts on a book based on real life events and in this case based in real life horrible events. I was very shocked by some parts involving belief. |

Wondering if he will bring G Fraiser in this? I love his work but maybe a different aesthetic would be better.
Who will be Nigel? Casey Affleck and all is in the family...Just kidding. Is there a good looking Australian actor with the right profile?

Still I prefer an actor with a higher profile like Jake G or Matt D. Not because an indie actor can't do it but because it is a traditional project so it's an opportunity for work with a big industry name. I'd choose Fassbender :) |
