I just watched today, I know kinda late but I thought I should post my opinion on it as well. I overall find it a good and unique enough movie. I live that Rooney is taking different types of roles and not doing similar movies over and over, she takes risks. I think she did great and definitely shows of her range. I know a lot of people complained about her chemistry with jason but for me it was ok and although I dont think he was as good as her, he still holds his own in the movie. The supporting cast was good as well, I dont think the acting was the major problem here, although I do think Riley was underutilized which is funny for me to think because I'm not a big fan of her, but she did great.
I'll give it a 7,5/10

nenya , the reason you can not recall that, is because it might have happen in a parallel universe where that guess lives ;) , friendly troll i may say. And about the yellow ring, I'm sure is just for the color palette, they needed something yellow for their cold blue shades.

We miss Rooney so much!!! She took her role of being Mommy so seriously... I am so thankful! She was even more fun, playful and concerned about Adam's hands being too cold, than I was! It was amazing to have her share my real life role:-)! To this day, when I show him her photo on several of her upcoming or current films and ask do you know who this is? He responds: 'My other Mom' & I don't mind, because she was absolutely amazing!!! These were taken after time on set, before we said goodbye. Thank you again, for sharing! Adam has been asking to see Lion. It's an incredible film, but I may get DVD & show him once he is a little older. He was 5 years & 10 months or so at time of filming! We feel so grateful and lucky to had been given the honor of being cast and spend time on set with such incredible actors!

You also get to direct your mom, however briefly.
She came in for one day. For some reason she was freaked out. She wanted to memorize every line and be really prepared. She did it and she was amazing. I just try to focus on my job and then later think about what just happened. That’s how it was with Redford. The same with my mom. I had to tell myself, ‘OK, you can’t get too into the idea that you’re directing your mom. This is the actress that’s doing this scene.’ But I did call her “mom” when I went up to give her direction. It would have been very weird to call her “Mary.” It was totally my mom right there.

his mom, his girlfriend, i wonder if he paid them at all :grin:
