How many times have you watched this movie already ? (Be honest ;) ). I'm still at one waiting for that first impression to settle down a bit; then after few weeks it's a time for me to watch again - my usual routine when it comes to movies which I love/like or simply the ones who in my opinion deserve another chance (and in 75 % cases, 2nd viewing is better than the 1st).

Give it another try. I doubt it will change your original opinion much, but you might find some interesting idea that you didn't catch the first time.

3. The first was nice mostly because Rooney's role is so different and because visually is pretty perfect.. The second I hated honestly because it used half of its potential The third I just receive what the film wants say which is quite traditional and cute...

Of course. It's a Rooney's movie. Not even a question for me. :
I liked it quite a bit (especially the last 30 minutes and Rooney's unusually sarcastic performance); in my opinion movie doesn't reach its full potential (seems more like short version of much bigger film, despite 100 min run time). But it was enjoyable watch overall and it definitely has interesting premise which is enough for me. And yes, I'm looking forward to catch more interesting details which I missed during the 1st time.

Agreed. I think there's not so many details to catch tho. I had way more expectations with this. I thought time ago that The Discovery would be what A Ghost Story has been so far,you know, something really special, emotional and unique. I think Charlie as filmmaker is caught in his sci-fi cage. His films feels like exercises of style and I film should be way more especially with this cast

Basically just getting an understanding and picking up on things which they were shooting for.
