I didn't tweet this : ) but I could. I like people that love that scene because Rooney's great on it. She brings some childish dimension to Isla very beautifully. Rooney makes looks so easy very difficult acting choices.

Just I saw Tramps, the original Netflix film which David E wrote about and I loved it. It's very simple and It's sort of movie that Charlie could do if he wasn't so into the sci-fi games. At least I had my bets on him to write that kind of feminine roles to Rooney. But nope :(
(Sorry for kinda reviewing The Discovery in different posts o rants)

YES! So happy that you saw it. She´s really good on this

Watched this again the other day and the thing that really stood out for me was how flatly directed it was.Not saying Charlie isn`t talented but I`m not sure he`s destined to be one of the greats, just merely good. I think he needs to decide what kind of filmmaker he wants to be: a kind of small version of Gondry or Nolan or have his own voice. For some reason I do not understand, he believes he should stick to a genre when he knows he has a special talent for partner or generational stories. I'm surprised that everyone talks about originality in the reviews of his work, because I only see quotes, tributes to works and authors greater than him. And I really like the guy and I think he has a clean style, good taste, he is an applied student of his art but he is missing ...
