RedSparrow , what do you think of my list (updated yesterday):
link
HM - Toni Erdmann, Patterson, The Assassin
Some very good are missing because my movie lists are usually "Top 32" (my lucky number). It's always painful to remove 5-6 excellent films every year to include something new but what to do . In 2019/2020 when this list is finally complete maybe the order will look something different. Time will tell.
(I wonder which group I'll remove next year in this time. Need some free space for Song to Song (please be good), Untitled PTA and Vox Lux :) ; and some others too)
I'd like to see your personal list (at least top ten) but it's totally OK if you aren't interested in the movie ranking. To be honest, I don't consider 31. movie from my list much weaker than 11. one. Just small nuances and personal preference (with some degree of objectivity of course).
And you guys also...

That's a really good list : . Especially happy to see Foxcatcher, Frances Ha, The Immigrant and A Separation make it. I've yet to watch a couple of them. As for me making a list. I'll try working on it. The last I made a proper long list, it was back in 2011/2012, And I gave up after that because I would constantly keep changing it (similar to how I constantly keep editing my posts here ) so I thought not to bother with it at all But I'll still try working on it, Until then if you like I can give you my favourites from each year (I've yet to watch a lot more though). Here: letterboxd.com/ipshita/lists/ Hope you like it :) And please don't kill me over the 2015 list

I don't know what to make of Melancholia. I'm not a big fan of Lars von Trier but really need to watch that movie again.
Ida was on my list until yesterday :cry2:
And thank you for introducing me to Kelly Reichardt's filmography :

Trust me, I debated a lot about the 2015 one. Inside Out hit too close to home, and there was no shaking it off :sad2: I thought you were better than this Honestly, I suggest try watching it again. Preferably in the dark and on a bigger screen. The idea is to just let it wash over you. Like The Tree Of Life, Don't intellectualize it. I still don't know what hit me, to be completely honest Finally you redeemed yourself :woohoo2: Do let me know what your favorite Reichardt film is :)

I truly love your list. Mine would be very similar really. Could be the same less Mad Max and Wes Anderson' s Hotel. They're not bad movies just not my thing. Maybe will post mine later. Thanks for sharing

Speaking of Kelly Reichardt, Certain Women was fantastic, and I was quite upset Lily Gladstone wasn't nominated. :( Agreed. I was so sad when she didn't win the spirit award. Lily deserved that one at least

Love it Big kudos for including Nebraska, Blue Valentine, Rust and Bone, Ida, American Honey, Steve Jobs and others.
Of course, Ain't Them Bodies Saints
And I need to watch Things to Come as soon as possible. If this film is your No.1 that's enough for me, don't even need to read official reviews. Mia-Isabelle team :

This attitude is ridiculous. Meryl Streep approached Casey especially to congratulate him for his Oscar after the ceremony (there's a video) and those who believe they are? And Brie could have excused herself from going in protest, but no, she wanted the publicity...
