Oh thank you!!! sorry I didn't read the link, your quote sounded like a joke, in fact poor Leo's been the target of so many jokes that I thought this one was a joke too :lol2: . I don't get the need of 2 envelopes. Even I was kidding about Leo. It's not his fault, it's on the PWC people for not being alert. They had one job. But by the looks of it they seemed to have acknowledged their mistake and apologised. What a messy situation At least this happened to a collective group of people, you can laugh louder with company, imagine the mistake with a single individual. OMG that guy from PWH, his job was to take an eye on the envelopes but he decided to take pictures with celebrities instead :lol2: .

If anything they should make a movie/doc or a Mini-Series around this. It's the messiest (and a much better) award show I've seen since Kanye at the VMAs And let's not forget Steve Harvey, his MU mess up was the first thing to pop up in my head when it all went down

And I thought It would be remembered by the amazing JT opening :woohoo1: . Oh, yes I remember that Miss universe mess up, Lala land is Miss Colombia.

Found this on Movie Awards forum. This makes a little bit more sense. This Cullinan guy just had to take pics/tweet etc., right when BP was about to be announced, no? I do feel bad for him though. It must be insane to be blamed for a flub as big as this. Edit: Lol @ this though

I'll say something that just two days ago would seem impossible to me - I feel sorry for La La Land.
As much as I'm glad that Moonlight won (because it was obviously the best of the nominated ones) it's hard for me to enjoy the sight of watching trophies literally get taken out of someone's hands two minutes into their acceptance speech. But it's not just about La La Land crew, it's also about Moonlight team not having the proper time or space to celebrate.
As Mahershala said later: "I just didn't want to go up there and take anything from somebody, you know ? And that's very hard to feel joy in moment like that"
Nobody is to blame though. Not Warren, not Faye and not that unfortunate accountant. Nobody of them had intention this to happen, of course. Just a bad luck that happens to everyone sometimes in a most inappropriate place.

The whole time I was thinking to myself why can't they just do what Adele did and just break that damn plastic thing in two and give one to LLL. Who cares if it's an Oscar, empathy matters more and it would've truly been a wonderful thing.

It was very nice to see two teams so much respectable to each other in this unpleasant situation. Not that we expected something else of course but I'm always glad to see this natural, non-scripted respect between two film crews.

They handled it so well. If there's one thing I loved during this awards season, it was seeing the genuine love between both the Moonlight and LLL teams. It was throughout the Oscar Season. There's a ton of respect there for each other. So I'm not too surprised at how well both teams handled it. The way Barry rushed to hug Damien was so sweet

Besides the very obvious political agenda of The Salesman winning, the fact that at least ONE of these films, Train to Busan, The Wailing AND The Handmaiden, were not nominated for best foreign film, is beyond fucking egrigeous. Some of the best pieces of filmmaking to come out this year, and all of them from S. Korea. The Handmaiden especially deserved best cinematography nom.
