I love Jodie,but she's about 15 years too young for this part. Maybe this is alternate history where Napoleon is actually older than Josephine lol. But yeah, she is too young for the part. She is a better pick to play Josephine's daughter Hortense. And Joaquin is almost 47 now, not sure he'll be convincing as young Bonaparte. Ridley should have made this project some twenty years ago, right after Gladiator. |

Anyone watched CURTIZ (2018) on Netflix? It's about direktor Michael Curtiz and making of Casablanca in 1942. It's Hungarian co-production but they speak English 90% of the movie and the use of black and white photography is excellent.
Overall, it's not masterpiece or anything close to it but it has some moments worth watching. It also can be some sort of companion piece to MANK.

Rooney and PTA collab would be match made in heaven but it needs to be right role in right movie in the right place...the sooner the better but certainly something worth waiting. Do you think they already know each other in person (via Joaquin)? |

Rooney is also close to the HAIM sisters and Amanda Demme who are also Paul's friends. I think it would be weird if they don't know each other |

Oops... The Northman is postponed for 2022. I'll replace it with Ridley Scott's The Last Duel. Naturally, I'd be excited by West Side Story but because I'm big fan of the original remake seems rather pointless to me. But it's Spielberg so it will surely be technically great. |
